Memorial Day And Rolling Thunder

From Governor Palin’s Facebook page:

Todd and I and our family would like to wish you all a happy Memorial Day weekend. We’d especially like to offer our best wishes to our friends in Rolling Thunder who will be taking part in their Ride for Freedom this weekend in D.C. as they do each year to honor our vets and specifically to bring awareness to POW/MIA issues. We were honored to join them last year.

We were both sad to learn that Preston “Jay” Fairlamb, Jr., one of the organizers of Rolling Thunder and someone who made us so welcome last year, tragically died in an accident last week.  Jay was a Vietnam vet, a retired New Jersey State Trooper, and a great American who will be dearly missed.  Please keep his wife, his children, grandchildren and his innumerable friends in your prayers.

On this Memorial Day weekend, may God bless our brave men and women in uniform.

Greetings To My Friends From ‘Round The World

I get visitors from so many parts of the world it is incredibly exciting, humbling and I wish to name the countries of my folks who visited my site. You can get an idea from the map on the left side panel. I want to take this opportunity to thank you so much for your support, and keep stopping by!

The Palin Express

Desperately Seeking Plurkers, Tumblers, Multipliers and Xangas

Desperately Seeking Susan

I am taking this weekend to work very hard to continue to grow The Palin Express to reach even more people all over the world. As you can see, more than 30,000 people have visited my site, and I have more than 900 email subscribers. I send tweets every time I can, re-tweets and now I am discovering so many new social networks, that through Ping.fm I can reach lots of people, but I still wish for more.

As I create more accounts, log in and swim through the system, look for me and we can even work together with my blog. Hey, the more, the merrier! So much talent out there, and all of you are quite inspiring. I have my “blog role models” and they grow as I discover blog articles with “red meat” and proper research.

The fact that I haven’t posted recently is due to health reasons (again) so thankfully this new round of medications will work properly to restore my health the best it can, and to engage the conversation and get to know as many of you as possible.

Thanks for your understanding!

Bristol Got The Apology She Deserved

Bristol Palin

Bristol Palin

When the incident at the Saddle Ranch happened between Sarah’s daughter Bristol and Mr. Stephen Hanks, I knew the negatives that usually happens after any member of the Palin family enters a public venue. Fortunately, Bristol held her ground and showed class, and how to handle a major insult to her mother in the best light possible.

TMZ hunted him down (while “men” did nothing ??!!), found him and he kept at it. Guess after he watched himself scream and hurl insults-he got a good dose of his own medicine, Mr. Hanks did an about face and apologized (while not on a scale I’d approve, still shows the resentment of his own downfall.)

Via his lawyer:

“Having had an opportunity to view the camera footage of the incident this past Thursday at the Saddle Ranch Bar & Chop House in West Hollywood, and having reflected on the incident over the weekend, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what my feelings are towards Sarah Palin, I should not have expressed them towards her daughter, Bristol Palin. [...]

I am very passionate about politics, and believe in equality for all Americans. I expressed my feelings in an improper manner in the heat of the moment, and allowed my emotions to get the better of me. [...]

I apologize to them for my poor judgment that night, and to Bristol for any hurt my actions may have caused her. I wish Bristol success with her television show, and much happiness in the future.”

At least he “manned up” and saw that this is not the right way to address a lady-or perhaps there were men in his way that called him on it. I sure do hope both of them applied in this situation, and that it all ends here.

Organize4Palin Gets A Makeover

Outline of United States history

United States

The website looks great! It’s a mixup of SarahPAC and C4P and I love the state flag‘s designs.

It does make it easier for each state to find a coordinator, volunteer and show their best talents-or gain experience from it.

I was a webmaster for a site where I incuded city flags. It did help and it was hard work but very rewarding. Please check them out, find your state, click on it and see what you can do to help.

Obama Is “WTF” Here And Abroad

Here’s Governor Palin‘s Facebook post:

Another “WTF” Obama Foreign Policy Moment*

by Sarah Palin on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 7:16am

*As many readers have pointed out “WTF” is for “Winning The Future,” President Obama’s re-election campaign slogan.

As Governor I fought the Obama Administration’s plans to cut funds for missile defense in Alaska. So imagine how appalled and surprised I was to read this article by former Clinton CIA Director James Woolsey, appropriately titled “Giving Away the Farm,” concerning President Obama’s latest bizarre actions relating to missile defense.

President Obama wants to give Russia our missile defense secrets because he believes that we can buy their friendship and cooperation with this taxpayer-funded gift.  But giving military secrets and technologies to a rival or competitor like Russia is just plain dumb.  You can’t buy off Russia.  And giving them advanced military technology will not create stability.  What happens if Russia gives this technology (or sells it!) to other countries like Iran or China?   After all, as Woolsey points out, Russia helped Iran with its missile and nuclear programs. Or what happens if an even more hardline leader comes to power in the Kremlin?

We tried buying off the Kremlin with technologies in the 1970s.  That policy was a component of “detente,” and the hope was that if we would share our technologies with them, they would become more peaceful.  Things, of course, didn’t work out that way.  The Kremlin took western technologies and embarked on a massive military building program. History teaches that peace comes from American military strength.  And a central component of that has always been technological superiority.  Why would President Obama even dream of giving this away?

Members of Congress saw how foolish President Obama’s gambit was, so they put a section in the defense appropriation bill that specifically forbids the federal government from spending money to share these technologies with the Kremlin.  President Obama actually threatened to veto the defense appropriation bill over this section of the law! Fortunately, the House passed the bill with a veto-proof majority, a whopping 322 to 96. Attention now turns to the Senate.

Why is it that President Obama seems to work so hard to give things to our enemies, while at the same time asking friends and allies like Israel to make sacrifices?

During these tough economic times when we are facing massive deficits and a competitive global economy, does President Obama really want to give away technologies that the American taxpayer paid lots of money to develop?  Giving away our missile defense secrets won’t make us safer.  What it will do is create a situation where we are facing an arms race with ourselves. Russia gets access to our technologies, and we are forced to spend even more money because of the need to stay ahead. Does this make sense to you? Me neither. File this under “WTF.”
