We Don’t Always Get What We Want
I feel compelled to write about this, because it’s something that haunts us at one point or another in our lives, and because we often notice those that we judge as sinners or irresponsible, get most of what we want the most. We carry on and on about how unfair this is, and wonder why God and Jesus has put us in a position where what we want the most, it’s the hardest thing to get-if we ever get it at all.
One of my best friends has been married for more than ten years, yet they still can’t conceive a child. Multiple trips to doctors, tests and multiple diagnosis. There’s the “who’s at fault” for this to happen (him or her), financial roadblocks for more options and possible procedures make it even harder on them. They are such a good couple who have all the love in the world and are so ready, can’t have their dream come true-a child for them to dote on, to love and protect.
Yesterday I had a long conversation with someone I know and I love dearly and they are trying too-but they had a false alarm. The sadness and anxiety at the other end of the line was heartbreaking for me-even anxiety for any possible health issues that a baby of hers may get! I listened intently, seeking in my silence Our Lord Jesus Christ for wisdom, intermixed with my own life experience as a mom and how “I got there” to ease her feelings. I found myself in an interesting situation: I told her several reasons as to why this is happening in her life at this stage, and did my best to ease her broken heart that yearns for a baby so much-and consoled her, reassured that this “hiccup” (a false alarm) can mean that next time, they will get lucky indeed and have a beautiful bundle of joy.
Sometimes we get frustrated when we don’t get what we want, no matter how significant or pointless it is. We want a nice house, nice cars, a great job with endless possibilities for promotions, bonuses or to become the best at what we are. Perhaps we got all of that-yet there’s the one thing nagging at us, that we want so dearly and we can’t seem to get it-or it involves a compromise we are not willing to give.
I closed my eyes and asked Jesus for wisdom, for advice. These women that I love so much will get their babies, in one way or another. They love God, Jesus and are very Christian, are active with the church and both hold nothing against God for not becoming pregnant. This I find incredible, because so many others do find the easier path to take, and that is to blame God and Jesus for anything that they want and can’t get.
There are several questions we need to ask ourselves for situations like this: Is what we want just material possessions? Will it get us closer to God? Will it benefit others and not just ourselves? Are we willing to share our joy and give more of ourselves if we get what we want? Will it make us better Christians, get us closer to God? Have we done anything, worked hard to achieve our goals? C’mon, if we want a car, go ahead and pray for it, but Jesus is not a genie in a bottle! Read Proverbs 28-29 and see if we see ourselves under the grace of God, or if we are on the wrong path of selfishness and reckless behaviors.
Proverbs 29:25: The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
I will continue to ask Jesus for guidance and for answers; pray for my family and friends, so that they experience the blessings of becoming mothers. I will also pray for them to have the patience and the wisdom to know that Jesus wants the best for both of them, and that time is key, regardless if there are feelings of hurry and anxiety.
Jesus wants you to be safe, and to feel safe when you pray and meditate. Remember this, though: Thank God for what you have already, and for what He has in store for you, so you’re ready for the gifts and for the challenges ahead. There lies your reward.

God-Inspired Email From Sarah To Her Family And Friends
If you’re a parent as I am and are reading this (if you haven’t done so already) this email from Sarah about Trig’s arrival will put things into perspective and think back when our journeys started; what the future we always hope for our kids and God and Jesus’ involvement along the way.
Some parents have it easier than others; some don’t want to be parents at all so they have no feelings whatsoever and go to abortion clinics where murder awaits another of Jesus’ precious gift to the world. In the meantime, so many women long and envy the privilege of being able to conceive.
Well, from Governor Sarah Palin to her family and friends, here’s a heart-moving email:
To the Sisters, Brother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends of Trig Paxson Van Palin (or whatever you end up naming him!):
I am blessing you with this surprise baby because I only want the best for you. I’ve heard your prayers that this baby will be happy and healthy, and I’ve answered them because I only want the best for you!
I heard your heart when you hinted that another boy would fit best in the Palin family, to round it out and complete that starting five line-up. Though another girl would be so nice, you didn’t think you could ask for what you REALLY wanted, but I knew, so I gave you a boy because I only want the best for you!
Then, I put the idea in your hearts that his name should be “Trig”, because it’s so fitting, with two Norse meanings: “True” and “Brave Victory”. You also have a Bristol Bay relative with that name, so I knew it would be best for you!
Then, I let Trig’s mom have an exceptionally comfortable pregnancy so she could enjoy every minute of it, and I even seemed to rush it along so she could wait until near the end to surprise you with the news – that way Piper wouldn’t have so long to wait and count down so many days – just like Christmastime when you have to wait, impatiently, for that special day to finally open your gift? (Or the way the Palins look forward to birthday celebrations that go on for three, four days… you all really like cake .) I know you, I knew you’d be better off with just a short time to wait!
Then, finally, I let Trig’s mom and dad find out before he was born that this little boy will truly be a GIFT. They were told in early tests that Trig may provide more challenges, and more joy, than what they ever may have imagined or ever asked for. At first the news seemed unreal and sad and confusing . But I gave Trig’ s mom and dad lots of time to think about it because they needed lots of time to understand that everything will be OK, in fact, everything will be great, because I only want the best for you!
I’ve given Trig’s mom and dad peace and joy as they wait to meet their new son. I gave them a happy anticipation because they asked me for that. I’ll give all of you the same happy anticipation and strength to deal with Trig’s challenges, but I won’t impose on you…
I just need to know you want to receive my offer to be with all of you and help you everyday to make Trig’s life a great one.
This new person in your life can help everyone put things in perspective and bind us together and get everyone focused on what really matters . The baby will expand your world and let you see and feel things you haven’t experienced yet. He’ll show you what “true, brave victory” really means as those who love him will think less about self and focus less on what the world tells you is “normal” or “perfect”. You will grow and be blessed with greater understanding that will be born along with Trig.
Trig will be his dad’s little buddy and he’ll wear Carhartts while he learns to tinker in the garage. He’ll love to be read to, he’ll want to play goalie, and he’ll steal his mom’s heart just like Track, Bristol, Willow and Piper did. And Trig will be the cuddly, innocent, mischievous, dependent little brother that his siblings have been waiting for in fact Trig will – in some diagnostic ways – always be a mischievous, dependent little brother, because I created him a bit different than a lot of babies born into this world today.
Every child is created special, with awesome purpose and amazing potential. Children are the most precious and promising ingredient in this mixed up world you live in down there on earth. Trig is no different, except he has one extra chromosome. Doctors call it “Down’s Syndrome”, and Downs kids have challenges, but can bring you much delight and more love than you can ever imagine! Just wait and see, let me prove this, because I only want the best for you!
Some of the rest of the world may not want him, but take comfort in that because the world will not compete for him. Take care of him and he will always be yours!
Trig’s mom and dad don’t want people to focus on the baby’s extra chromosome. They’re human, so they haven’t known how to explain this to people who are so caring and are interested in this new little Alaskan. Sarah and Todd want people to share in the joy of this gift I’m giving to the Palin family, and the greater Alaska family. Many people won’t understand… and I understand that. Some will think Trig should not be allowed to be born because they fear a Downs child won’t be considered “perfect” in your world. (But tell me, what do you earthlings consider “perfect” or even “normal” anyway? Have you peeked down any grocery store isle, or school hallway, or into your office lunchroom lately? Or considered the odd celebrities you celebrate as “perfect” on t.v.? Have you noticed I make `em all shapes and sizes? Believe me ,, there is no “perfect”!)
Many people will express sympathy, but you don’t want or need that, because Trig will be a joy. You will have to trust me on this.
I know it will take time to grasp this and come to accept that I only want the best for you, and I only give my best. Remember though: “My ways are not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts… for as the heavens are higher than the earth, my ways are higher than yours!”
I wrote that all down for you in the Good Book ! Look it up! You claim that you believe me – now it’s time to live out that belief!
Please look to me as this new challenge and chapter of life unfolds in front of you. I promise to equip you. I won’t give you anything you can’t handle. I am answering your prayers. Trig can’t wait to meet you. I’m giving you ONLY THE BEST!
Love,
Trig’s Creator , Your Heavenly Father
A Sign Of The Times? Lightning On The White House
The Almighty God has spoken. The end of times are near. Under the Obama administration, I expected nothing more than rainbows and unicorns. Maybe the seas would have parted as the prophet Moses asked God for one of the most incredible display of His power to save His people from being murdered by the Egyptians.
When I saw this I had a “shock and awe” moment. I could not believe it! The image that looks so dark, with the skies opening (below) for Easter evening’s spectacle is quite impressive. I wonder, W.W.O.D. (What Would Obama Do) if he was standing outside?
Now for the kicker: THAT is scary. Repent and convert President Obama, repent and convert; do this at least for the good of ”your” country. Oh and do not leave God out of any prayers, mhkay? He might be a bit offended by it. Example below:
Until, that is, the Thanksgiving Proclamation of 2009 — the first from President Barack Obama. After a passing reference to a George Washington quote (the first President had observed “by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God,”) — that’s it. God does a vanishing act from the Obama Thanksgiving Proclamation. What Americans get instead are thanks to “Native Americans,” the fact that Americans “observe traditions from every culture,” must band together to be “serving our communities” and “have gratitude for all we have received in the past year; to express appreciation to those whose lives enrich our own; and to share our bounty with others.”

He Is Risen!
Governor Palin posted the following Easter message via Facebook:
Easter is the celebration of what hope really means. In Jesus’ triumph over death through His resurrection, we believe that death was defeated and hope became the expectation of eternal life with God.
Hope is the great driving force in many of our lives, and it has been the driving force in our country’s history. America has always had a strong sense that God’s providence is abundant, that no challenge can ever be too great and no enemy too strong. It was this hope that inspired us to carve a nation out of the wilderness, to appreciate opportunities to responsibly utilize nature’s resources, to engineer skyscrapers towering over our gleaming cities, and to fly to the moon.
As a country and as individuals, we can always have true hope to guide us. Our best days remain ahead of us. And working together we will leave this country to our children a better place than we received it from our parents.
On this blessed day let’s remember our Lord’s sacrifice that led to the Resurrection; and from the whole Palin family, have a wonderful Easter!

Sarah Palin’s Speech In Oklahoma City-Testimony Of God
Sarah Palin spoke to a full house of nine thousand women in Oklahoma City.
Via C4P:
Palin made her remarks at the Women of Joy Christian women’s conference held at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The event, sponsored by Phil Waldrep Ministries based in Trinity, Ala., drew more than 9,000 women to the Jim Norick State Fair Arena….
The former governor told those gathered that being a woman of joy is “seeking and living out your purpose to be in service to our Creator, to God.”
Palin said the Lord has been her strength throughout difficult times in her life, particularly when she learned her son Trig would be born with Down syndrome.
“I can’t even tell you what a blessing Trig has been to us. To us, he is perfect,” she said….
“If you are on your way to your purpose, I guarantee you will encounter them,” she said of critics.
“My prayer for all of you this year is that you’ll hone in on taking the steps forward to what God has prepared for you … To be a woman of joy, you might as well dance.”
Google Pitches In To Find Missing Persons
English: Please spread this information to all those that may be affected. Read below:
Español: For favor, dispersen esta información a través de toda Latinoamérica para buscar personas a través de Google.
The Japan earthquake version of the tool currently lists about 5,500 records, but the number is rising quickly as news about the catastrophe spreads around the world. Although the tool can be useful for finding information about a friend or a loved one, Google warns users that it doesn’t review or verify the accuracy of the data. Furthermore, all data entered will be available to the public, as well as viewable and usable by everyone.
Google’s Crisis Center also shows a map of the earthquake, the latest related news and lists link to warning centers, disaster bulletin boards, and train and blackout information.
The Google Crisis Center is available here, but it also shows up on top of searches for “Japan earthquake” and similar phrases. During these times of disaster, it’s good to see Google taking swift action and leveraging its vastly popular search engine to help people cope and find information.
