Paulinites Rejoice! Ron Paul Marches In!

Ron Paul, member of the United States House of...

Ron Paul, Libertarian

Unbelievable. At 75, he better pick a young VP candidate. Jesse Ventura, perhaps?

All conspiracy-theorists like Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura and those young CPAC folks that mess with the US Presidential straw-poll should be doing a Snoopy “happy feet” dance tonight:

Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, whose outspoken libertarian views and folksy style made him a cult hero during two previous presidential campaigns, will announce on Tuesday that he’s going to try a third time.

Sources close to Paul, who is in his 12th term in the House, said he will unveil an exploratory presidential committee, a key step in gearing up for a White House race. He will also unveil the campaign’s leadership team in Iowa, where the first votes of the presidential election will be cast in caucuses next year.

Meet the GOP‘s Potential Candidates

Paul, 75, ran as the Libertarian Party candidate in 1988, finishing with less than one half a percent of the vote. After more than a decade as a Republican congressman, Paul gave it another shot in the 2008 presidential election, gaining attention for being the only Republican candidate calling for the end to the war in Iraq and for his “money bomb” fundraising strategy, which brought in millions of dollars from online donors in single-day pushes.

How will this affect the overall race, if he really goes for it? He’s got the cash, the help and connections to start this off. This will divide the vote, especially with the GOP if they dare put a RINO in-which is likely, looking at the environment right now. The establishment do not like to be called on their lack of efficiency, the lame candidates they could get behind, and the lackluster fighting spirit that they possess. Trump, Palin, West and Cain have put them to shame.

Look at it this way: Please “We The People,” or please the GOP establishment? Wise up, GOP! Listen to Republicans, Conservatives and those Tea Party folks that streak Independent-those Independents could give some votes to Paul, if he courts them properly.

Hmm…Paul/Ventura 2012. How’s that sound like?

Newt’s PAC Keeps Asking For More Money…Why?

Daily News cover illustrated by Ed Murawinski.

Evidence that Democrats like the front of their preferred methods of transportation.

Newt Gingrich‘s PAC called home and that was IT. If everything is going swell for him, why harass people all over the country and try to collect money through a robo-call?  This time the call was because Gingrich is establishing his “presidential exploratory committee” and wanted me to help them with a whooping $70!!! That, and help organize this state to help get more support for him.

Times are difficult and he must be getting really desperate; I thought that since he’s an “inside the beltway” candidate that he’d enjoy more privileges and backing than other candidates who do the hard work and go directly to the people, to tell them what they stand for and what they want to do for this country.

Michelle Bachmann has done a wonderful job as a fund-raiser and has topped media‘s favorite Mitt Romney. Governor Palin, while not announcing yet, has proven herself over and over she can give it as well as she can take it; and take for more than two years is more than enough. And she will continue to do so; her journalism degree is deep in her heart and she won’t stop until there’s a more balanced information in the media, instead of just making things up.

As for Newt, he has his comfort zone and has not gotten out of it to garnish more support from Republicans. He does have a mainstream media problem that Palin takes the heat of so much-from the same media-yet this is being swept under the rug. Why? Is he THE candidate the media wants against Obama, along with Romney?

T-Paw is starting to do his exploratory committee and is a no-news either. Why the silence, if he is such a bad candidate too? Mike Huckabee is coasting by, and he’s merely moving a pinkie toe. Real conservatives feel that Haley Barbour has no chance either.

As a Palinista it’s amusing watching the terror on both ends of the aisle (except Bachmann) on when and if she announces she will run for President. Governor Palin is getting hit pieces again, trying to diminish her character or attempt more damage than what Americans perceive already; with this I mean those that don’t do their homework and get their news from Dancing With The Stars, The Simpsons or the alphabet networks.

During that telephone call, I pledged over and over the telephone my support for Governor Palin *after thoughtful consideration, I said* because I believe she’s the one that can put the country in the right track, and that I wished Newt good luck in his search for the Presidency. That didn’t stop the caller for more PAC money so I had to tell the caller again with a stronger tone of voice that I support Governor Palin to be the next President of the United States. End of story.

Julianne Moore Will Play Sarah Palin In HBO

66ème Festival du Cinéma de Venise (Mostra), 1...

Actress Julianne Moore

Liberal heads will explode in 3, 2, 1…

This time Hollywood has taken notice of Governor Palin, and so far I don’t know how close the script will be based on the book, “Game Change” which covered the 2008 elections. “Game Change” was not 100% accurate with information about the campaign, as claimed by Palin.

So far, here are the details:

Oscar-nominated actress Julianne Moore will portray the former Alaska governor in the project, which will chronicle Palin’s burst into the national scene as a surprise vice presidential candidate in 2008.  Directing Game Change is  Jay Roach, director of the Meet the Parents movies as well as the HBO film Recount, which examined the aftermath of the 2000 presidential election with a focus on the Florida recount.

Game Change is based on Mark Halperin and John Heilemann’s book about the 2008 presidential elections and follows John McCain’s campaign from his selection of Palin as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election.

Danny Strong, who previously wrote the Roach-directed Recount, penned the script for Game Change. Roach is executive producing, with Strong co-executive producing.

As soon as more information starts trickling in, I will post more details. Stay tuned.

Happy New Year 2010!

I hate New Year’s Eve.  Everybody in the family knows it.  I am one of the few, I confess.  I don’t enjoy it unless I hop over two parties and end up on the last house close to midnight.  Since there’s no partying where I live, it is utterly boring.  Not to mention the insane whiff of brightness and hope for the next year, and then, a week later I find it’s the same old crap.

Nevertheless, that does not deter me from thinking of New Year resolutions, and wishes for good health, blessings, and love for America.  This will be an incredible year due to elections, so it is a year many conservatives longed for ever since Barack Obama won.   There is a sense that we can control history this year.  That the “change we can all believe in” will come from the Right and will change the House and Senate.

I can only hope that because I feel this strongly about 2010 (read: twenty-ten) when it comes to politics, that I can look at myself in the mirror and effect a powerful change, with the same good-ol’ resolutions.
