Support Israel In NYC And In LA On Wednesday

Via Atlas Shrugs:

PROTEST AGAINST PLO UNILATERAL CALL FOR PALESTINE STATEHOOD AT THE UN

Hammarskjold Plaza @ 833 1st Avenue & E.47th Street
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 12:00 PM
Scheduled Speakers:

MK Danny Danon – Member of the Israeli Knesset, a key promoter in Israel’s recently passed anti-BDS and other anti-democratic legislation

MK Gilad Erdan – Israel’s Minister of Environmental Protection (pending security details)

Mr. Simon Deng – Sudanese human rights activist living in US, who was a victim of child slavery

Dr. Robert Stearns – Founder and Director of Eagles’ Wings, a global movement of churches, ministries and religious leaders, and the protest organizers

Rev. Matt Sorger – He has over 19 years in the ministry and is outspoken in his stand with Israel

President Obama will be speaking to the United Nations General Assembly on Sept. 21.

This will most certainly account for heavy traffic during this time.

Please come with flags or your own hand made signs.

Tell President Obama that you want him to veto the Palestinian call for statehood.

Thousands of Americans will be arriving via buses, trains, and planes, but most will not be Jewish Americans. It seems that the Jewish Organizations have failed to act even in the face of Israeli leaders calling upon everyone to rally in front of the UN in support of Israel (www.durban3nyc.com/).

Pamela Geller will attend the LA event, check it out here.

Does Obama Want Brother Against Brother To Fight?

I posted a response to a previous post to explain what I mean when I wrote that O is “pinning” brother against brother:

What I mean by that is that Hoffa Jr. offered Obama “an army” of union leaders and members to fight against the Tea Party-which have hundreds of thousands of “members” that are involved in that movement as well as those that support it. Hoffa Jr., like Sarah mention on her Facebook response and quote:

“This was shamefully on display yesterday at President Obama’s taxpayer-funded campaign rally in Detroit. In introducing the President, Teamsters President James Hoffa represented precisely what I was talking about as he declared war on concerned independent Americans and on the freshman members we sent to Congress last November by saying, “Let’s take these son-of-a-bitches out!”

Now what Hoffa Jr. did during his warm-up speech is to present Obama with “your army” and Obama did not condemn any of those remarks. There were no comments from the White House to the DNC. If any person with a Jared Loughner complex on EITHER END fires the first shot, you betcha we’re gonna have the start of a Second Civil War if this is not stopped immediately.

To offer Obama an army of civilians to fight another group of Americans is pinning brother against brother. That’s un-American, unpatriotic and incredibly dangerous. Remember this speech by President Obama?

His quote:  “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

People are connecting the dots from the union rally, directly to this quote. Pray for this country, that common sense prevails.

How Do You Like Me Now?

A commenter at Michelle Malkin’s blog posted this video and I thought it was very appropriate to post it here for all to see.  Reality bites.

A Sign Of The Times? Lightning On The White House

The Almighty God has spoken. The end of times are near. Under the Obama administration, I expected nothing more than rainbows and unicorns. Maybe the seas would have parted as the prophet Moses asked God for one of the most incredible display of His power to save His people from being murdered by the Egyptians.

When I saw this I had a “shock and awe” moment. I could not believe it! The image that looks so dark, with the skies opening (below) for Easter evening’s spectacle is quite impressive. I wonder, W.W.O.D. (What Would Obama Do) if he was standing outside?

Now for the kicker: THAT is scary. Repent and convert President Obama, repent and convert; do this at least for the good of ”your” country. Oh and do not leave God out of any prayers, mhkay? He might be a bit offended by it. Example below:

Until, that is, the Thanksgiving Proclamation of 2009 — the first from President Barack Obama. After a passing reference to a George Washington quote (the first President had observed “by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God,”) — that’s it. God does a vanishing act from the Obama Thanksgiving Proclamation. What Americans get instead are thanks to “Native Americans,” the fact that Americans “observe traditions from every culture,” must band together to be “serving our communities” and “have gratitude for all we have received in the past year; to express appreciation to those whose lives enrich our own; and to share our bounty with others.”

Wanna Strike? You’re Fired, Along With Your License

Puerto Rico‘s Secretary of Education fired all the top brass of the Teachers’ Federation. Unprecedented!

Secretario de Educación, Jesús Rivera Sánchez

They won’t be able to teach. Education Secretary, Jesús Rivera Sánchez, canceled teachers‘ certifications to the Executive Committee of the Teachers’ Federation.  (Primera Hora / Archivo / David Villafañe)

NOTE: This is a rough English translation to the original news article in Spanish, which can be read here.

In an act without precedent, the eleven members of the Executive Committee of the Federation of teachers were decertified as teachers, and may not exercise their profession in public or private schools.

Education Secretary Jesús Rivera Sánchez dismissed ten teachers’ career positions on Friday and cancelled (voided) their certifications as teachers permanently, so they will be unlicensed to teach. In the letter of dismissal against them, their offenses of abandonment of service, participated in a teachers’ strike on August of 2010 – a strike in which about 30,000 teachers were absent from their work – and recommended a vote of strike by enrollment in an Assembly of delegates.

“This is not an isolated incident, it also comes with the deprivation of the right to have all our members pay dues to the Teachers Federation,” said the leader of the guild, Rafael Feliciano, in a press conference together with the other 10 teachers that were fired. Feliciano indicated that they will continue to remain in their trade union posts, even if they don’t get paid with salaries and continue the administrative procedure before the appellate commission of the public service, without discarding to go to court. “They will not intimidate us. We are going to fight and are going to win,” said their leader, Rafael Feliciano. He added that this action has the goal to frighten other teachers so that they won’t fight against the current administration’s plans to privatize schools and eliminate the teachers’ retirement system.

“The members of the executive committee knew we were going to be exposed to all these evil things and their repressive brutality on the part of the Education Secretary, since these disciplinary hearings are nothing but a firing squad,” said Feliciano at the press conference, located at the headquarters of the Employees’ Union of Water and Sewerage’s Authority Systems in Hato Rey, where yesterday the same federation would have an assembly of delegates.
In the afternoon’s meeting, Feliciano said that they will discuss any other attempts to stop more firings, including the possibility of a workers’ strike of 24 to 48 hours and a boycott to the Puerto Rican tests of Academic Advantage that students must take on the first week of April.
Feliciano dismissed complaints coming from a group of teachers from “The Commission of Teachers of the Communist Party,” which announced yesterday that they planned to disaffiliate themselves from the Federation. “The Magisterial repudiates attitudes and anti-democratic actions of the de facto leader of the Federation”, said Félix Arroyo  which is their speaker, in another press conference.

Julian Assange’s Interview With Forbes

How can a magazine interview one of the most volatile persons on the planet, that has shattered and revealed secrets from multiple countries?  And we’re not talking about The National Enquirer; it’s Forbes.  Follow the money, as some will say.

From Andy Greenberg:

Admire him or revile him, WikiLeaksJulian Assange is the prophet of a coming age of involuntary transparency, the leader of an organization devoted to divulging the world’s secrets using technology unimagined a generation ago. Over the last year his information insurgency has dumped 76,000 secret Afghan war documents and another trove of 392,000 files from the Iraq war into the public domain–the largest classified military security breaches in history. Sunday, WikiLeaks made the first of 250,000 classified U.S. State Department cables public, offering an unprecedented view of how America’s top diplomats view enemies and friends alike.

Next goal:  Takedown of Wall Street (Bank Of America is already saying “hey, it’s not me!,) carry on with his rape accusations, Ecuador wants to build him a cozy cottage, and People Magazine will surely catch on Assange’s fame to make them The Sexiest Person Of The Year to revamp Assange’s metrosexual looks.  I won’t hold my breath if TIME goes ahead and crowns him Man Of The Year.

Update:  YES, THEY ARE!

Assange’s exploits have cemented him as a candidate for TIME’s 2010 Person of the Year — so much so that past TIME 100 honores went out on a limb to explain why he was their choice. “For better or for worse, Julian Assange has changed the accessibility to knowledge of the two wars that involve the U.S., within a matter of months,” said Lauren Zalaznick, president of NBC Universal Women and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks. “He has also put journalistic integrity on a knife-blade edge: What is the responsibility of the journalist to make public or keep private?”

Now, on Ecuador.  Niiice. Via RWDB (link above):

Never fear Lefties, a “progressive” state has offered Assange refuge:

An Ecuadorean minister has offered residence in his country to Julian Assange, the reclusive founder of WikiLeaks, without conditions.

“We are ready to give him residence in Ecuador, with no problems and no conditions,” Kintto Lucas, the deputy foreign minister, told the website Ecuadorinmediato on Monday.

“We are going to invite him to come to Ecuador so he can freely present the information he possesses and all the documentation, not just over the internet but in a variety of public forums.”

Does this sound familiar?

Too bad that Assange won’t negotiate with Obama:

You were interviewed this month by Chris Anderson at the TED conference, where you were given a standing ovation. But the Pentagon reportedly wants to question you about the documents you released on Afghanistan. Do you feel safe traveling in the U.S.?

Assange: It’s a free country, right? Wrong.
