Dear Mr. Freeman: Go To A Tea Party Nearest You

NOTE: This letter touched my heart and I promised to repeat it here. Besides, Morgan Freeman can learn a thing or two about being accessible to the general public. No snobbishness, Mr. Freeman-not while filming a movie with fans wanting to greet you, nor at a Tea Party event, where people of all ages will welcome you.

Here it goes:

*****************

Dear Mr. Freeman,

My name is Ali Akbar. I’m a 26 year-old African-American small business owner and a tea party activist. I’m not writing to rake you over the coals in the way that many conservatives have done in the last 48 hours. Heck, I wrote a passionate open-letter refuting many of your claims already, but this is not that. This is an honest and standing invitation. I do believe that you are wrong in what you said about the tea party, but I would rather prove it to you than castigate you for your comments.

I also understand that your reflexive comments came from experience. You grew up in a different America than the one that I was blessed to be born into. We both grew up in the south, but I never saw ‘White Only’ signs. I’ve been called a name or two in my three decades, but racism has always been the exception in my life, not the rule, as it probably was in your youth. I understand your suspicion of conservative political movements. It is rooted in pain and fear and memory, and though I never saw the horrors of segregation that you did, we share that cultural heritage.

I’ve been a fan of yours all my life. From “Driving Miss Daisy” to “Lean on Me” to “The Shawshank Redemption,” I idolized you as a boy. Growing up without a father, you were one of the strong black men in my life who gave me a model to follow. Each of the characters you played had dignity and confidence. I tried to emulate the strength you projected. While many of my friends headed down the all-too-familiar path of drugs, unwed pregnancies and crime, I’ve striven to live a life with dignity, be an example for my brothers and make my mother proud.

My favorite of your movies was “The Power of One.” I must’ve watched it a hundred times, crying every time when your character Geel Piet was killed by the racist South African. Geel Piet was brave and heroic, even in the face of death, because he knew that the hate that killed him was a trifle in comparison to the love that PK’s anti-apartheid movement was spreading. It is with that spirit that I’m writing to you this morning.

I’ve attended dozens of tea party events. I’ve helped organize them, and I’ve even spoken at a few. The tea party is not what is often depicted in the news. It is people of all colors who are terribly concerned about the direction that America is heading. We don’t trust big government to make decisions for us. And we fear that the present administration’s spending is going to lead our country down a path to insolvency, much like what Greece is currently facing.

Your comments about the tea party have caused me physical pain. You’ve rekindled the old painful paradigm of Uncle Tom – that any black man who votes Republican is some kind of sellout. It’s not true. I work hard, pay my taxes, love Jesus, and I’m good to my family and community. In effect, your comments have stereotyped an entire group of people. And I know in my soul that you must regret that on some level.

There’s already plenty of groupthink among American blacks. Over 90% of us vote Democrat with religious regularity, and we have been doing so for over fifty years. For a short time, I was one of them. I realized a few years ago that the Democrats’ promises of equality bestowed by government wasn’t working and will never work. I came to believe that redistributionist policies with the goal of social justice was essentially creating a new plantation within the federal government. Scraps might be thrown our way, but dependence on the plantation would be the inevitable result.

Over half a century since we started voting for Democrat policies, blacks in America are worse off than before. Black Americans are more likely to get involved with drugs, go to prison, and die younger than our white counterparts. Over 70% of our children are born out of wedlock. Our abortion rate has never been higher. There are two explanations for these results. 1) Blacks are an inferior race and can’t take care of themselves. 2) Despite the best of intentions, the government has created and implemented “social justice” policies that promote perpetual dependence. I choose to believe the latter. Therefore, I have become a Republican.

Mr. Freeman, I’m not asking you to adopt my political views. You’re in your seventies, and a political shift is not in your future. I’m reaching out to you because I want you to think better of your fellow countrymen. Barack Obama is in the White House, and Herman Cain just won the Florida straw poll. America is the land of opportunity for black Americans like never before.

I’m hoping that you’ll come to a tea party in Tennessee — the place of your birth. Really anywhere in the country that works for you; I’ll set it up with the one of the thousands of activists I know around our great country. I’d be delighted to introduce you to good people who will welcome you with open arms, disagree with you, and then feed you some of the best barbeque you’ve ever tasted.

Racism is an ugly thing, but I assure you that it is part of our past, not our present.

It takes bravery to admit that you may have made a mistake. But, for Geel Piet, bravery is like breathing. It’s just something you do.

I hope you’ll take me up on my offer.

Sincerely,

Ali Akbar

Musical Chairs Game At The UN, With George Soros Controlling The Music

George Soros has too much time on his hands. He wants Benjamin Netanyahu gone, but as usual, in a way that his thumbprints are not all over the place, nor his money. Just like the Obama administration, transparency is key to how the flow of hatred towards the Jewish people and the goal to put radical Muslims in control of  a vast region, with the fresh scent of Arab Spring.

Just a tidbit from Front Page Magazine (emphasis mine). There’s way more going on under the radar for people to care. This “Hobbit” seeks to put it out there to help protect and secure Israel-not only our only true ally in the Middle East-but as a reminder that G-d is with Israel, according to The Scriptures.

DAVOS/SWITZERLAND, 27JAN10 - George Soros, Cha...

Netanyahu’s sharp exchange with Obama in May motivated even Democrats who weren’t in Soros’ vest pocket to find a way to force him out of office. It was no longer just fear of losing the Israeli left as their hand puppet – the American Jewish vote was in play. Replacing Netanyahu with a lefty eager to appease the terrorists would heal the split with Obama and Jewish voters.

The American and European left could provide the money and the strategy, but the Israeli left would have to do the heavy lifting to save the millions of dollars flowing their way from their foreign backers. On the Israeli side were left-wing veterans of Clinton’s successful effort to topple Netanyahu. Greenberg had been on that campaign and the plan was to do it all over again. [...]

The New Israel Fund is the mothership of Israeli left-wing NGOs and it is the most threatened by donor transparency. The NIF’s 25-million-dollar annual budget is used to fund even more radical groups, some of which call for boycotting or outright destroying the State of Israel. A recent WikiLeaks report quoted the local head of NIF, Hedva Radovanitz, as saying that she expected the country to disappear and be replaced by a more “democratic” Arab state.

Inside Israel there’s already a lot of discontent to “fire” so to speak, Netanyahu. Israel did this already in 1999 with a no-confidence vote; they have a parliamentary democracy. The left is frothing at the mouth to do this again, and replace Netanyahu. Their method: An inside Egyptian model of an  “Arab Spring” inside Israel. If this image below does not freak you out, I don’t know what will.

Guillotine set up inside Tel-Aviv as a message for Netanyahu

Stand up GOP and fight! You need to learn to fight like a girl!

GOP contenders: BE UNAFRAID. THE GAME IS ON!

Are the GOP possible candidates too afraid of the media?

Are the GOP possible candidates too afraid of confrontation?

Are the GOP possible candidates unable to engage?

Are the GOP possible candidates proven leaders with expertise with the military-and respected BY the military?

Are the GOP possible candidates salivating to take on Barack Obama, look him in the eye and tell him ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?

NO MORE! IT STARTS NOW AND PLAY HARD CORE CONSTITUTIONAL PROTECTION FOR AMERICANS!

Sarah Palin In Wisconsin For Tea Party

Sarah Palin will speak at a tea party rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Andrew Breitbart will join her, as both of them will be in the middle of the hornets’ nest where unions, Democrats and college kids have threatened to throw  cheese curds at them, and perhaps other things:

Sarah Palin To Be Pelted With Cheese Curds In Wisconsin Saturday

The Koch Brothers think it’s hilarious when their dumb puppets have to go face huge, angry crowds of political opponents. Remember the movie Trading Places? It’s the same idea: Incredibly rich old white creeps just torture their own lackeys whenever it gets dull oppressing the faceless poor and destroying the Earth to make Dixie Cups and Brawny paper douche towels. So the Koch Brothers are bringing Sarah Palin to Madison, right there at the State Capitol, for an “Americans For Prosperity” rally. Haha the union people and college kids are going to pelt her with a million pounds of Wisconsin’s famous Fried Cheese Turds. Or curds, whatever. Curdle Rain. Poor snowbilly grifter!

Let’s pray for a peaceful rally, that Sarah, her family and all those that gather today are safe from any threats or danger. It’s just too bad that the hatred still continues to this day, when there are other critical issues to turn to like jobs, the economy and national security.

Attacks Against Governor Palin Border On Anti-Semitism

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Per my earlier post, I read carefully all the past events that Jews went through by Catholic persecution and later as a useful tool for Hitler to make his case against them. The Jewish community, Israel as a country have gone through enough times and suffering; from hangings, to starvation and torture.

As a Catholic I feel ashamed by ignorance and prosecution that still goes on today from several directions. As Governor Palin states, I stand by Israel, Bibi Netanyahu and acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The past is gone; now we are living the early stages of the 21st Century and the hatred and bigotry haven’t stopped since Jesus Christ’s own sacrifice for all of us.

It is incredibly childish, distasteful and full of hatred-I dare say towards Jews, who will see this an either an attack, or an opportunity. If they decide to choose to “cast the first stone” and make statements against Governor Palin, liberals will gladly accept as part of their goal of Governor Palin’s political destruction. Liberals seek to bring back  a myth, which is now used as a metaphor. After all, liberals love to brag that Palin “was the one behind the trigger,” and not Jared Loughner. Therefore, Palin has blood on her hands by proxy.

Liberals have scrubbed off online material that may be compromising to them of extreme hatred towards Congresswoman Griffin and have been on the offensive and their extreme hatred continues to this day.

Personally, I believe it’s time to call on those on the GOP to task to stand side to side of Governor Palin, and later on the winners of their districts and states that Palin helped, campaigned for, and donated to them this past November.

It’s on time like these that you know who your friends really are. Unfortunately, that has been the family’s problem since 2008.

The Book That Reveals More Racism Of Democrats

Due out tomorrow, Game Change has generated tons of buzz over the weekend, and has been the book that keeps on giving. This book portays once more, and proves the racism of their own; whilst they fetch for minority votes. This must be an eye-opener to all minorities, since they rely on their votes to pursue “their” agenda, which is a boldface lie.

It all started with Harry Reid, known as “Dingy Harry”; I believe this nickname was coined by Rush Limbaugh but don’t take my word for it. This was the quote that opened Pandora’s box (emphasis mine):

Senator Reid is quoted in a new book by two journalists about the 2008 campaign, “Game Change,” as saying privately that the US would be “ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama – a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.’.

Hey, if you want an example of what “Negro dialect” is, here is my interpretation (and please, don’t take me seriously!)

If you ever asked for fast food, you know that these turn of events ended up faster than a cheeseburger, with a “quickie” apologize accepted from the White House and that was the end of it. No way, Jose! As far as the quotes related to Sarah Palin, well…there are no surprises there. No scent of it in the blogosphere of spilled milk over her. They have been uncovered by what they are: A bunch of racist and bigots who did not even care about supporting Obama. Hey, Mr. President, are you keeping score?

Democrats do not care about minorities. I don’t buy the precept of the Democrat Party, which claims social justice (especially today) for people. Barack Obama ran on the campaign trail with an innovative and different style, and of course, attracted almost 90% of the African American vote. If people cannot look past the color of the candidate’s skin and look at what they believe is good for America, then we as a country will not leave the “American Idol” and “Survivor” stupor. That is what I call being “politically asleep”, which is one of the main reasons this blog exists.

With that said, The Atlantic provides us with the gifts that have kept on giving this weekend. Boy oh boy, talk radio must be really something to listen to tomorrow! (italics mine):

Why Sen. Kennedy was offended about his conversation with Bill Clinton (page 218):

“Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago this guy would have been getting us coffee.”

Clinton senior strategist Mark Penn boasted to his staff how many times he managed to say “cocaine” on that famous Hardball segment (page 163).

Hillary Clinton was initially pleased when her New Hampshire campaign chairman, Billy Shaheen, mentioned Obama’s previous use of drugs (page 161):

“Hillary’s reaction to Shaheen’s remarks was, ‘Good for him!’ Followed by ‘Let’s push it out.’ Her aides violently disagreed, seeing what Shaheen had said as a PR disaster. Grudgingly, Clinton acquiesced to disowning Shaheen’s comments. But she wasn’t going to cut him loose. Why should Billy have to fall on his sword for invoking something that had been fair game in every recent election?”

Elizabeth Edwards tried to lobby Roger Altman (who was secretly planning Hillary Clinton’s presidential transition) to force the National Enquirer not to run one of the Hunter stories. (Altman was chairman of an investment group that had a stake in the company that published the Enquirer.) Page 140. Altman called Enquirer editor David Pecker and made sure that the story was accurate.

Harvard prof. and Obama friend Chris Edley played a much larger role at key moments in the campaign that has been previously reported.

Before he decided to run for president, the Obamas flew to Nashville, TN to get Al Gore’s assurance that he would not run. (Pages 73-74.)

McCain aides confront Cindy McCain over reports that she had an extramarital affair (page 281):

“The man was said to be her long-term boyfriend; the pair had been sighted all over town in the last few years. Members of McCain’s senior staff discussed the unsettling news, and their growing concerns that Cindy’s behavior had been increasingly erratic of late. [John] Weaver and others suspected that the Cindy rumor was rooted in truth. It was upsetting, Weaver believed, but not a threat.”

I remember The Enquirer being on this story; but I guess they could never prove that Cindy McCain was really the one in the picture, because from the cover all that was shown was a blond in a ponytail kissing some guy. I was at the grocery store and I brushed it off, but somehow I kept it in the “conspiracy theory” file. The juice on the Democrat aisle has been nothing but outstanding and it will be interesting the twists and kumbaya to undo all the hypocrisy amongst them.  Sleep with one eye open, Democrats, why?  Because you’ve been served!
