Elizabeth Edwards’ Optimism Will Live
This is a personal post, not Governor Palin’s.
Elizabeth Edwards‘ passing hit me hard today. I detest breast cancer, and I support any cause that may find a cure for it. She fought long and hard, and enjoyed a period of remission before it came back for a final blow. Every time I listen to her words or watch the sad news, it’s like a tree lost a leaf.
I certainly wish I would have known her; she seemed really likeable, was in the forefront for what she believed in and stood by her husband through their ups and downs, and transformed into an even stronger woman, when she was in remission and throughout her illness. Any cancer battle is extremely hard on a person that does not have the will to live. The impact of that persons’ feelings towards survival and passion for life trickles down to the children, and the rest of the family.
As any parent, I am concerned about the psychological impact on their children, who already went through so much. What the family must do is stick together like glue, because if Elizabeth was the matriarch of the family, all ties to her and any other relatives would be broken. The grieving process for a mother is eternal. It’s like losing a limb. I highly recommend the book, “Motherless Daughters” by Hope Edelman. MotherlessDaughters.org has more information on grief, loss and how to cope.
Please listen to Elizabeth Edwards’ words in this video, where she speaks about optimism in times of difficulty. The whole video is extremely emotional, revealing and I hope this shows men how breast cancer affects women; that men gather a lot of strength to hold a family together in order for them to become a mother and a father, if sadly that happens. To not go astray and find other women when they give up on love; because giving up on that love, can detach from their own families dealing with that same cancer. I hope the Edwards family stays together as one, and do not break up. I often wonder why the good ones leave us.
Elizabeth Edwards, you will be dearly missed. Your words of optimism and strength speak volumes to those that struggle with breast cancer and their families. May God bless you, from now on you are free.

} catch(err) {}Oprah Winfrey’s book, “Oprah” has hit bookstores, and the NewYork Post has dished on it bar none. I don’t know if any Oprah fans or those on the line will be that curious to find about her past. We’ll keep track of Kitty Kelley’s book on Amazon, as usual. Click to my link to the left of the book, to get a synopsis.
I have to admit I enjoy pop culture, more than anyone else that’s involved with politics. If what Kitty Kelley wrote is true, it will be Oprah’s downfall and her empire as well. Her past, in this book, has done a 360 of what Oprah claims she went through as a child, and her current relationships.
Read this. The much-anticipated book details how:
* Winfrey concocted stories about sexual abuse she suffered as a child — and grossly exaggerated the poverty she was brought up in.
* She went to great lengths to conceal her “lesbian affairs” — including hefty payoffs — and publicly attached herself to Graham to appear more normal to her audience of housewives.
* She lavished romantic gifts — including a diamond toe ring — on ABC talking head Diane Sawyer.
* Winfrey sold her body to earn extra money and has even described herself as a teen “prostitute.”
* She doesn’t know the true identity of her biological father.
After reading that article I realized the book was “hotter” than what was told in the media before the release. Of course, there’s that shred of doubt since it’s “unauthorized”, but besides the point it is scandalous indeed. If Oprah Winfrey’s relatives feel that strongly about her, it should be for a good reason. So let’s see:
- Oprah had a troublesome childhood that somewhat traumatized her, because she was raised in a lower-income environment, with a single mom, and does not know who the father is (per her mother).
- Her sexuality has been always on the line; fans believe she’s heterosexual, some don’t buy it and Kitty Kelley concluded she’s neither – asexual.
- Pays off people to hush them about her sexuality.
- Stepdad tried to correct her, discipline her and make her straight and narrow but he couldn’t keep a good relationship with him either. Who does he blame for that? Her BFF, Gayle King!
- About her current relationship with Stedman: “He’s simply a fixture in her life,” van Sweden added. “Window-dressing.” This is her architect.

,,,,,,It’s not proper to say anything negative (even if it’s the truth) about Oprah and Obama…it’s racist.
Ok, I’ll risk it. The Two Biggest Phonies in America are Oprah and Obama. Oprah invented her life’s history a phoney religion and Obama invented his life’s history and he attended a church for twenty years and had no idea the ‘pastor’ was a racist and hater of whites..but take their money since they are lying liberal socialists too.
SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!
Another commenter mentioned a New Yorker cartoon about Oprah and Obama together as Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. I couldn’t find it to see it for myself; it must have been brilliant, as much as their regular work. Watch the rest of this week and next week – the comparisons are there, the similarities are there and this is gonna raise even more eyebrows than the Cover Girl makeup ads.
You know what? One will fall before the other; that’s inevitable. Oprah is on the brink with this book; another birther does not want to deploy so he will be court-martialed (tsk, tsk: I will no link-ey to msnbc-ey). Yeah go ahead and read the comments on that article. That’s enough to spray my eyes with Windex to cleanse them up. I am not a birther since I mention this for the second time on my blog, but one can dream, can’t I?
Oprah jumped up, campaigned for him and He Won. Then we saw what he stands for, and she had an epitome-she likes flying in her private jet. If Obama is gonna distribute our wealth around, I want a private flight on your private jet-at your expense, of course. After all, your empire can afford us all. By the way: Enjoy your flights now; they might be cancelled later.
