Barack Obama And His Drug Use: The Tell-All Book Details

Thanks to Buzzfeed for the piece that’s making the rounds online, though in quite a conservative way if I may say so. There’s been US Presidents in the past who have used drugs, experimented with others but this just takes the cake. This is one of the most elaborate, detailed accounts of President Obama smoking pot when he was a teenager.

Barry was quite the accomplished marijuana enthusiast back in high school and college. Excerpts from David Maraniss‘ Barack Obama: The Story dealing with the elaborate drug culture surrounding the president when he attended Punahou School in Honolulu and Occidental College in Los Angeles. He inhaled. A lot.

Click on the Buzzfeed link to see the pictures of Obama, holding his marijuana cigarette-one of them made the rounds back in 2008 I believe. In addition to that image, there’s his friends, and a couple of places they hang out. Here’s the rundown, from the book:

“A self-selected group of boys at Punahou School who loved basketball and good times called themselves the Choom Gang. Choom is a verb, meaning ‘to smoke marijuana.’” The best quote from Maraniss’ piece: “Barry also had a knack for interceptions. When a joint was making the rounds, he often elbowed his way in, out of turn, shouted ‘Intercepted!,’ and took an extra hit. No one seemed to mind.”

As a member of the Choom Gang, Barry Obama was known for starting a few pot-smoking trends. The first was called “TA,” short for “total absorption.”

Along with TA, Barry popularized the concept of “roof hits”: when they were chooming in the car all the windows had to be rolled up so no smoke blew out and went to waste; when the pot was gone, they tilted their heads back and sucked in the last bit of smoke from the ceiling.

When you were with Barry and his pals, if you exhaled precious pakalolo (Hawaiian slang for marijuana, meaning “numbing tobacco”) instead of absorbing it fully into your lungs, you were assessed a penalty and your turn was skipped the next time the joint came around. “Wasting good bud smoke was not tolerated,” explained one member of the Choom Gang, Tom Topolinski, the Chinese-looking kid with a Polish name who answered to Topo.

He was a long-haired haole hippie who worked at the Mama Mia Pizza Parlor not far from Punahou and lived in a dilapidated bus in an abandoned warehouse. … According to Topolinski, Ray the dealer was “freakin’ scary.” Many years later they learned that he had been killed with a ball-peen hammer by a scorned gay lover. But at the time he was useful because of his ability to “score quality weed.”

In another section of the [senior] yearbook, students were given a block of space to express thanks and define their high school experience. … Nestled below [Obama's] photographs was one odd line of gratitude: “Thanks Tut, Gramps, Choom Gang, and Ray for all the good times.” … A hippie drug-dealer made his acknowledgments; his own mother did not.

 

Their favorite hangout was a place they called Pumping Stations, a lush hideaway off an unmarked, roughly paved road partway up Mount Tantalus. They parked single file on the grassy edge, turned up their stereos playing Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, and Stevie Wonder, lit up some “sweet-sticky Hawaiian buds” and washed it down with “green bottle beer” (the Choom Gang preferred Heineken, Becks, and St. Pauli Girl).

 

This is what I call vetting, my friends. This is what the media tried desperately to hide back in 2008 and they never bothered to check on Obama’s peccadilloes-and there will be more to surface if the discontent escalates.

Liberal media has a fascinating obsession with race, and color.  Hey, Lawrence O’Donnell, why weren’t you protesting and sitting down when Black Americans?

Watch the exchange; it’s disgusting. NOTE: I am NOT on the “Cain Train.” After Sarah Palin decided not to run, I am for no one but I do get a kick out of the libs cup Obama with their hands while at the same time go after Cain which is blacker than Obama (his mother was white, as everybody knows).

Why O’Donnell is going into such minutia by where was Cain at what year? Sorry I call for fairness in journalism. Ask Obama where was he, even at his time of birth. That’d be fair enough for me. As far as Mr. Cain I am glad he handled himself well.

Larry forgot to mention:
1 – that MOST black Americans in the South did NOT show up at the protests/marches.
2 – that MOST black Americans KNEW that the police and the dogs had been unleashed and were aiming to hurt and kill as many blacks as may have gotten in their way.
3 – That it was the DEMOCRATS in power who had UNLEASHED the police and DOGS on the BLACK FOLKS.
4 – Just where was Mr. O’Donnell when all the marches and protests were taking place back then ( Hanging out with other privileged white democrats at Harvard?)

Whoever reads this, it is up to you to decide in November if you agree with their decisions. Palin called it like she saw it, and now it has come to fruition whether President Obama admits it or not.

It turns out that despite his protestations last year that he’d never implement “Death Panels” of elitists who decide whether or not American citizens should die, President Barack Obama has gone ahead and done just that. There is a actually a Death Panel that meets to decide whether an American citizen should die. It operates in secret without any public record. It is not accountable for its actions under the law.

ObamaCare still running smoothly and will not stop until people go to the ballot box. Obama has a bunch of people playing God, and that is not good. Not for the panel, not for the President. The poor soul will suffer and die-but Mercy will be by their deathbed.

 Netanyahu’s sharp exchange with Obama in May motivated even Democrats who weren’t in Soros’ vest pocket to find a way to force him out of office. It was no longer just fear of losing the Israeli left as their hand puppet – the American Jewish vote was in play. Replacing Netanyahu with a lefty eager to appease the terrorists would heal the split with Obama and Jewish voters.

The American and European left could provide the money and the strategy, but the Israeli left would have to do the heavy lifting to save the millions of dollars flowing their way from their foreign backers. On the Israeli side were left-wing veterans of Clinton’s successful effort to topple Netanyahu. Greenberg had been on that campaign and the plan was to do it all over again. [...]

The New Israel Fund is the mothership of Israeli left-wing NGOs and it is the most threatened by donor transparency. The NIF’s 25-million-dollar annual budget is used to fund even more radical groups, some of which call for boycotting or outright destroying the State of Israel. A recent WikiLeaks report quoted the local head of NIF, Hedva Radovanitz, as saying that she expected the country to disappear and be replaced by a more “democratic” Arab state.

Inside Israel there’s already a lot of discontent to “fire” so to speak, Netanyahu. Israel did this already in 1999 with a no-confidence vote; they have a parliamentary democracy. The left is frothing at the mouth to do this again, and replace Netanyahu. Their method: An inside Egyptian model of an  “Arab Spring” inside Israel. If this image below does not freak you out, I don’t know what will.

Smackdown From Sarah On Crony Capitalism On Steroids

In my recent speech in Iowa, some eyebrows were raised when I took on our government’s enormous economic problems caused by crony capitalism. As if on cue, just days later President Obama selected someone who exemplifies a major crony capitalism problem to sit next to the First Lady when he delivered his “jobs plan” speech before Congress. He selected General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt as his honored guest.

Having grown up with great respect for GE thanks to stories my grandfather shared with us about his days working for the company and even meeting GE spokesman-at-the-time Ronald Reagan during a company event, I am saddened at GE’s leadership evolution. This corporation is now the poster child of corporate welfare and crony capitalism.

This icon of American industry is a company full of good employees who make some good products (and is the parent company of a huge media outlet), but GE is also a large American corporation that pays virtually no corporate income taxes despite earning worldwide profits of $14.2 billion last year, $5.1 billion of it in the United States. In fact, they claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion, meaning they received more of our hard earned tax dollars than they contributed. How is that possible? It’s because not only do they shelter their money from taxes, but they also get many tax credits, loans, government grants, and other benefits from the federal government that our smaller businesses couldn’t even imagine being able to profit from.

Joining GE in the pantheon on crony capitalism is another Obama favorite that has been in the news of late: Solyndra. The President hailed this “green energy” company in a speech last May as “the true engine of economic growth.” When he announced the $535 million guarantee to Solyndra, Vice President Biden said that investments like this are “exactly what the Recovery Act is all about.” (Dear God…If the failed Solyndra venture has been what it’s “all about,” then that explains a lot.) As I pointed out in my speech at the Reagan Ranch Center last February: “History has proven again and again, when government picks the winners and losers, we’re stuck with the losers, and we the taxpayers subsidize failure!” And that’s what we’re seeing now, as the FBI raids the solar energy company’s headquarters to glean more information after the company was handed half a billion dollars in “green energy” Stimulus funds from the American taxpayer only to later declare bankruptcy. More than one thousand Solyndra workers lost their jobs. Now as the truth comes out, we discover that the White House was heavily involved in the Department of Energy’s rushed decision to give the Stimulus funds to Solyndra, and they tried to move the money through so quickly they seem to have ignored concerns that the company was not viable. Why would they do this? Perhaps it’s because a large investor in the company (about 35%) is Obama campaign bundler George Kaiser. And with the way the deal is structured, Kaiser will get his debts paid before we the taxpayers see any relief. That is sickening. And that’s how it works: workers lose their jobs, wealthy political cronies stand a good chance of getting their money back, and the U.S. taxpayer gets the shaft. Again.

President Obama has his sights set on raising $1 billion for his reelection campaign. Raising that money won’t be easy. But if you can hand out other people’s money to friends, it must get a whole lot easier. This crony capitalism and government waste is at the heart of our economic problems. It will destroy us if we don’t root it out. It’s not just a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It’s a problem of our permanent political class. This won’t stop until “we the people” say enough is enough, and we retire the permanent political class that votes for this.
