Sarah Palin Interviewed By CNN And The NYT

Via C4P, written by Doug Brady:

Prior to Governor Palin’s much anticipated speech at CPAC today, she sat down for a brief interview with CNN and the New York Times. She reiterated her preference for an extended nominating process so that the candidates can be vetted. She also called on Mitt Romney to explain his record to conservatives or face an enthusiasm gap if he’s the nominee.

Note by TPE: On this topic, I totally agree with the Governor:

“People who start screaming that a brokered convention is the worst thing that could happen to the G.O.P., they have an agenda,” Ms. Palin said in an interview. “They have their own personal or political reasons, their own candidate who they would like to see protected away from a brokered convention.”

Now, on the CNN end, on Romney’s “severely conservative” statement:

In an interview with CNN and The New York Times before her speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, Palin said she was confused by Romney’s declaration here on Friday that he was a “severely conservative Republican.”

“I wasn’t quite sure what the word ‘severely’ meant,” Palin said.

She said Romney and his two main rivals – Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich – should be given time to explain the flaws in their record until the Republican National Convention in August, when she said the nomination fight could ultimately be decided.

But Romney may have the hardest sale to make, she said, asking him to explain his “shifts in ideology” since he left the Massachusetts governorship.

Mitt Romney must be vetted on this issue. Vetted? Continue to be vetted? Yes, and by that I mean that I disagree with Rush Limbaugh and others on  comments that Romney needs to be “pushed” to the right. If he feels it, he should not overstate it or emphasize to prove a point.

Governor Palin doesn’t have to prove it; just like Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich, they live it. I do believe that if Newt is elected as the candidate to beat Obama (now it’s a bit of a stretch) he will fix up the mess we’re in. Now it’s up to all four candidates to make their point on how they plan to reduce the deficit the United State has (Newt laid it out on his CPAC speech, Paul is quite vocal about it) but with Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney, people need to do more digging because it’s quite elaborate.

Herman Cain “Palinized” By MSNBC

Liberal media has a fascinating obsession with race, and color.  Hey, Lawrence O’Donnell, why weren’t you protesting and sitting down when Black Americans?

Watch the exchange; it’s disgusting. NOTE: I am NOT on the “Cain Train.” After Sarah Palin decided not to run, I am for no one but I do get a kick out of the libs cup Obama with their hands while at the same time go after Cain which is blacker than Obama (his mother was white, as everybody knows).

Why O’Donnell is going into such minutia by where was Cain at what year? Sorry I call for fairness in journalism. Ask Obama where was he, even at his time of birth. That’d be fair enough for me. As far as Mr. Cain I am glad he handled himself well.

NOTE: This comment via Zip proves the misinformation from the liberal media to twist history and switch parties when it comes to sad history events like this:

Max Asays:

Larry forgot to mention:
1 – that MOST black Americans in the South did NOT show up at the protests/marches.
2 – that MOST black Americans KNEW that the police and the dogs had been unleashed and were aiming to hurt and kill as many blacks as may have gotten in their way.
3 – That it was the DEMOCRATS in power who had UNLEASHED the police and DOGS on the BLACK FOLKS.
4 – Just where was Mr. O’Donnell when all the marches and protests were taking place back then ( Hanging out with other privileged white democrats at Harvard?)

Joe McGinniss’ Book Piles Up On Smears Against Palin

Joe McGinnis’ book, “The Rogue: The Search for Sarah Palin” will hit bookstores next week. The only thing that this book will do is to feed and add misinformation for the lame-stream media’s pleasure. McGinnis wrote that Governor Palin used to be a drug addict, a cheater (not once, but twice!)

One thing is to do factual research, and another is to simply make stuff up. If the name does not ring, this is the man that rented the property next to the Palins to write this book. Watch this interview with friendly Matt Lauer, on the “Today” show.

In other words, Sarah Palin uses Nazi techniques from the 30′s and has released the hounds so to speak, but still wants a cookie. No problem Joe, Sarah can write a book about McGinniss, his previous book, his life and accuse him of cheating, and drug addiction; how much cocaine McGinniss  snorted with his pals hiding at his side of the fence that Todd had to build to block Piper’s  morbid curiosity.

Iowa Heard Her Roar, Complete With A Jobs Plan

Governor Palin‘s speech in Iowa has has so far an interesting range of reactions, from revealing the true illness of America that suffers from direct political influences to a total disappointment because she didn’t announce her candidacy for 2012.

You may say that Rove‘s seed sprouted amongst some people but America is not patient, used to regular partisan standards on all parties and want this all over and done with in order to go back to their surreal reality shows, so they can get rid of Obama later.

Nobody believes as I do that this is must force Obama to respond. Palin laid her card without any specifics just like the rest of the GOP do-and why should she? Obama will present His “Ultimate Miracle Cure Jobs Plan” that will have none of the suggestions in Palin’s plan.

Statement from Pedro Pierluisi Regarding Obama’s Trip To Puerto Rico

His constituents by-proxy are not thrilled about this visit. Puerto Rico’s population is about four million; what happens in the Unites States is affecting the island as well, so now they’re not happy campers. Puerto Ricans expect the same empty promises that Obama gave us. To make things more interesting, this is also Hillary Clinton‘s turf as she beat Obama in the Democrat Party’s presidential primaries in 2008 with a  3 to 1 margin.

Puerto Rico has also a lamestream media that is covering this four-hour visit as if he is staying for a week. Folks, it’s all about the money (read my Nancy Pelosi‘s blog post about this). There’s also that issue of Puerto Rico’s self-determination process that is in its infancy. Puerto Rico’s Resident Commissioner, Pedro Pierluisi (D-PR) gave this statement:

After noon, the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico in Washington, Pedro Pierluisi confirmed the information given ahead of time by EL VOCERO.  “I know that President Obama’s intentions is to show once again to the people of Puerto Rico that he identifies himself with us, with our causes and with our aspirations, and he wants to help us with our social and economical challenges that we face. I am positive that he will also use this trip to support the report of the Special Workgroup of the White House about Puerto Rico, and  to see firsthand how we’re benefitting from his initiatives of his administration”, said Pierluisi via written statement.

Puerto Rico’s Resident Commish has “voice” in DC, but cannot vote on anything related to Puerto Rico nor the United States; he has to knock on a lot of doors to get things done.  What few people know on this side of the pond? That Puerto Rico’s Governor, Luis Fortuño (R-PR) has been friends with Pedro Pierluisi (D-PR) ever since their teens. It is a positive but awkward professional relationship.

I don’t expect the GOP to jump in and make a strong statement about this four-hour trip. The only cool thing will be that kids will finally see Air Force One in all its glory. Obama’s visit will certainly be a part of Puerto Rico’s 21st century but it will be exaggerated, as is with everything involving politics.

Barack Obama Will Travel To Puerto Rico

President Obama will make a four-hour stop in Puerto Rico on June 14. This is a very unusual visit for a US President to visit the island so quickly-Nancy Pelosi visited the island last year, gave a speech, grabbed Democrat fundraising for the past November elections, and left.

Obama’s visit will coincide with the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy‘s trip to Puerto Rico in 1961. The 43rd President of the United States will be the second president that visits Puerto Rico on official affairs, since the creation of the Commonwealth. Obama made a stop in Puerto Rico twice as a pre-presidential candidate during the Democrat Party’s primaries.

Now that Obama’s visit is confirmed, the logistics for Obama’s safety and security are put in place. The US Air Force, the Secret Service, Puerto Rico’s Department of State along with the FBI. Local police will be also on a serious alert and will provide security for the whole visit. All information regarding Obama’s visit is trickling in-so far the trip was in his agenda for weeks-but more details of this four-hour trip are trickling in, so stay tuned.
