Housewives Must Storm OWS And Demand What They’re Worth

housewife [derogation]

Hardest hit.

Put it in the category of: Impossible, pathetic, hard reality or downright financial abuse by our male counterparts. Perhaps if some housewives read this will storm Occupy Wall Street in a snatch, and demand that they pay what they’re worth.

Get your Kleenex ladies, if you think overpaid and overworked are part of the job, I am afraid this won’t help one bit:

Get ready for shock and awe:

HOW MUCH IS A HOUSEWIFE WORTH

“If you’re a stay-at-home wife and mother, you’re worth a whopping $125,900 a year! That’s because your mate would have to pay $2,325 a week to hire people to perform all the jobs you do, according to U.S. government statistics.

A busy mom provides her family with the services of a child care worker, cook, dishwasher, chauffeur, laundry worker, maid and more.

Here’s what it would cost to hire someone to do these jobs for a week, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 1995 Employment and Earnings report:

1. CHILD CARE WORKER – $182
That’s the amount working parents fork out for a fulltime child care worker to look after and feed their children.

2. COOK – $238
Professional cooks earn an average of $238 a week. But you could be worth even more if you whip up dishes that could be served at fine restaurants.

3. DISHWASHER AND KITCHEN CLEANER – $225
That’s what an expert makes working full-time in the catering and food preparation business.

4. LAUNDRY WORKER – $199
You’re worth $199 a week to wash, dry and fold your family’s clothes and linens.

5. CHAUFFEUR – $362
Professional drivers pocket $362 a week. But you may be worth more since you’re at your family’s beck and call 24 hours a day.

6. MAID – $182
Although this is what the average maid earns, it’s not a lot to do all the dirty work around the house.

7. RECREATION COORDINATOR – $303
You should be paid $303 a week to plan and execute your children’s playtime
schedule.

8. TUTOR – $228
You tear your hair out helping your children master the “new math” for free; while a professional tutor rakes in $228 a week.

9. BOOKKEEPER/SECRETARY – $389
A clerical worker who balances the books, answers the phone and organizes
schedules earns $389 a week. Tally all those figures and you’ll find you could be earning a cool $120,900 a year ($155,280 if you factor in a 3% inflation rate).”

This does not even factor in the spiritual training and mentoring that a mother will do that a hired hand would not.

So how much is the love of a stay-at-home mother/wife worth to a family?

PRICELESS…PROVERB 31.

To Darrell Issa: “Heere’s Your Sign!”

Guys and gals, grab this beauty before it disappears out of YouTube!

Now let’s keep on going with Fast And Furious, and Grenade Runner. Kudos to Darrell Issa- and Sheryl Attkinson. And don’t let them tell you that those pesky grenades are “novelty items” because if they are really novelty items, then I want some for my son to do target practice, and to stock up.

Today Is The Anniversary Of OBM Fatima’s Last Apparition

October 13th was the last day that Our Blessed Mother, Our Lady Of Fátima appeared to a crowd of approximately 70,000 people. God provided Her with the famous “Miracle Of The Sun” where many converted, repented of their sins, the sick were healed and Her messages came true.

I may be wrong, but I have a question: Does anybody believe that Fátima’s prophecies will come true again? History is repeating itself so I ask you to pray, pray the Holy Rosary daily if you’re Catholic; pray if you follow other religion.

It’s not wrong to cast aside doubts but have the peace of mind that you ask for the Lord God graces, and Our Blessed Mother for intercessions. Please no bickering on this thread! All paths lead to God and we must join to defeat the evil one.

She has given this message quite often: “My children, heed my call.” This is a special day! Watch the classic black and white Fátima movie, or the newest one, “The 13th Day.” Spirit Daily posted a link to Portugal‘s Fátima Shrine live cam which you can access here. I was very lucky to “attend Mass” online.

May God shed grace upon Thee!

Steve Jobs’ Stanford Address: Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish

Inventor And EntreprenourIf you haven’t watched his Stanford University’s Commencement Address, please do so. Print it, and reflect on his message and his advice to find love in what you do; a very inspiring speech. Stay hungry and stay foolish; succeed is around the corner.

The world still grieves Steve Jobs’ departure from this world. We all knew it was coming, but still when it happened,  the world  stopped spinning-for an infinitesimal second.

America became enraptured with Jobs’ love and creativity of his signature technology. Millions around the world need and use Apple instruments to communicate, share pictures and now have some FaceTime instead of texting away. Apple revolutionized the market and pressed hard on the rest of the competition and everybody benefits in the end because now the world is  quite accessible.

I learned how to type on a Macintosh, and still ingrained in my brain is the startup sounds, and the buzzing sound of the A:/ drive when it ejects the floppy disk.  Windows quickly followed suit, and is still an incredible monopoly; corporations are quite forced to update and increase their productivity through Microsoft software, their upgrades and other nick-knacks.

Both Apple and Windows give us people with incredible skills that are often either very needed, or typecast-the nerds, or geeks. Right now the best way to describe many of them are “home brewers” – developers that create those “apps” for smartphones and tablets. There’s nothing short of amazing when immersed in a software engineer or a developer’s mind, where they make the difficult sound extremely easy and get us folks out of trouble and rescue us from a meltdown.

I don’t want to take away from what’s to come; our current crop of extremely talented individuals that now emerge from Google’s Android and HP’s Palm WebOS give the consumers a gamma of choices that can only come with healthy competition. IBM goes as far as 1911 and still trades strong, but in the seventies Apple kicked in, and now in 2011 we hold a thin  computer in our hands.

And for that Mr. Jobs, I thank you very much.

Additional Note: Since I have a TouchPad and was hoping for a makeover with Meg Whitman, I am very disappointed-she’s still agrees with the kill of the TouchPad’s WebOS. Now she has to cut outrageous salaries; dissect HP, and make it profitable and hopefully change her mind to improve a good product.

Mountain Biker Gets Taken Out By Buck

With more than six million views, and the astonishment of watching such a crash where animals run over people and not the other way around. It’s Africa nevertheless, and the adventure of the outdoors brings the best of both animals and humans.

The mother of all ironies:  His biking buddy screamed, “Holy cow!”  Heed the warning at the end of the clip, folks. Enjoy!
