Making Fun Of Palin Is Wrong And Dangerous: Jerry Springer
When the couch-potato generation for daytime TV shows, there was Jerry Springer for shameless, challenging and violent entertainment. The fights on television on a daily basis were predictable, awkward but outrageous. Jerry Springer is an icon of those daytime TV shows where, useless confrontations come out and the dirty laundry is open for everybody to see. Now we are content with paternity tests.
But when Jerry Springer emerges amongst Liberals as a “voice of reason” to the people on the Left to “stop the hatred” towards Governor Sarah Palin, it goes to show you that yes, there can be respect on both sides of the aisle and, dare I say, civility:
In an appearance on New York City WABC radio’s “Goodman to Go” podcast hosted by David Goodman, Jerry Springer admitted a distinct disagreement with Palin’s world view. However, he also observed she has some redeeming qualities.
“I don’t want her to be president,” Springer said. “I don’t agree with her views. But I would never say anything mean about her. I think she is incredibly charismatic. I think she takes her religion very seriously and her views very seriously. I don’t think there’s anything mean-spirited about her.”
In a nutshell: Don’t trash her because there are tons of people that like her, have the same core beliefs and want her to become the next President. Ok I added that extra at the end, just to see if heads explode here.
