The people of Vieques, Puerto Rico deserve justice from the U.S. Government (Rep. Steve Rothman) – The Hill’s Congress Blog
I came across this post from Rep. Steve Rothman, that I hope it gets the notice it deserves. I support any efforts to revitalize and open up Roosevelt Roads Naval Base, and any other related small businesses. If there is a way to bring jobs to the east coast of the island and to Vieques itself, then both DC and the governor of Puerto Rico must meet on equal grounds to fix the naval/cargo/touristic potential of the area. Welcome back the American troops from the mainland, and free Vieques’ beaches from being banned.

My New Year’s Resolutions – Update
Hi!
I wanted to update all of you on my New Year’s resolutions progress. I am very happy with myself, which took this task very seriously!
1-Diet – I have lost 21 pounds! I still want to lost 15 pounds more, but I am almost at my post pregnancy weight.
2-Guitar – On this one I did procrastinate a bit, and tried on my own a bit. I was not successful, but I will start taking lessons today. It is gonna be an intense learning process (learning to play guitar is NOT easy), but my goal if I can pull this off is a Luna guitar, or an Epiphone Hummingbird. I am leaning towards a Luna guitar, because of the size and style. There are no guitar like those. Check them out here.
3-Overall health – Facing serious challenges after the weight loss, I have had the good and the bad. The worst is to be reviewed again. There’s nothing I can do about it; only to be vigilant and hope I don’t get a seizure, either a gran mal or a drop. The few ones I had I passed out completely and found myself on the floor, or the couch. Not fun to bite your cheek and tongue. That takes days to recover.
I consider myself one of the very few that followed through. So far I continue with my weight goal which is either 135 lbs, or 126 lbs. On guitar, as many lessons as I can get, and learn as much as I can to earn my own guitar with my own style and size.
If you had your own New Year’s resolutions, hit “refresh” on those, get them going and feel the proud and satisfaction. Another thing you can do, purchase a scrapbook or a small album, and fetch magazines. Cut out what you want and see it for yourself. That is a good motivation technique that I read somewhere. I haven’t done it but I am thinking about it.

Illness – What A Healthy Diet Did On My Ill Body
I apologize for any inconveniences and no posts; I have been ill with neurological problems, so I have to be extra careful with my nervous system. These past few weeks I have had problems with one of my medications and I have been in bed rest for approximately three days now. I wake up with a daily headache or migraines (depends) and yesterday I was a bit nervous because I thought I was gonna get a seizure. I did twitch a lot, and I had an emergency blood analysis. Wish me luck. So far thank God, I am not photosensitive which would be the end of my career and a good chunk of my personal life as well.
I believe I am experiencing withdrawal from one of my medications due to diet changes. I have lost 21 lbs. YAAAYYY!!! but I don’t want to exercise until I get more info from my neurologist.
Thanks, -CN
ps: Two websites to check out for more information are http://epilepsy.com and http://wemove.org.
